Agreed. My thinking is that the "issues" themselves point to a set of values that cannot be reconciled with her active support, in result if not in intent, for Hamas.

I live in Israel, as you know, and enjoy a national health insurance scheme based on competition between a number of medical insurers. I am free to move from insurer to insurer, to choose my doctor, to pay out of pocket for a private physician, and so on. Israel's model grew out of a social democratic system but as the nation moved to a more balanced economic structure and its development took off, the system changed to become more competitive and less politicized. The Israeli model shows that National Health does not imply socialism, but it does require a degree of civilizing of capitalism so that the economy works for the people and not the other way around. This is the kind of argument that a serious Progressive movement in America should be making now, instead of shilling for Hamas!
